New Yahoo Logo - whimsical, yet sophisticated... Modern and fresh !



Marissa Mayer the new CEO yahoo changed the 18 years old Yahoo logo to make it look whimsical, yet sophisticated.  Modern and fresh, with a nod of  history with  a human touch and  personal.

She gave a human touch in the logo y making  all the lines and forms to have  at least a slight curve.

Put letters that had thicker and thinner strokes - conveying the subjective and editorial nature of their job.

She preserved the Yahoo yodel and played something with the OO’s.

To make it more readable on small screens she opted for uppercase.

At last, just to add a bit of whimsy, she tilted the exclamation point by 9 degrees.
